Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) continue to undermine post-operative outcomes across high-risk patients in India. With over 3 crore surgeries conducted annually and an estimated around 5.2% SSIs occurring each year, the financial, reputational, and clinical burden on hospitals is significant. Yet, adoption of preventive incisional therapies remains low, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where infection control infrastructure is inconsistent and wound care protocols are underdeveloped.
Vacuport, a reusable incisional NPWT device, is built to bridge this gap, offering targeted protection in high-risk closures like cardiac, ortho, flap, and abdominal surgeries. It combines portability, variable pressure settings, and advanced dressing technology to reduce SSIs, seromas, and post-op complications.
