Clinical Scenario:
A 54-year-old male was admitted to the hospital with a 2-bed sore ulcer, and he had been in bed for 6 months. The patients also have a history of Type II diabetes for a long period. Upon examination, the doctor noted that the patient had a sloped-edge, deep ulceration wound on the dorsal surface of his back with a damaged basal layer of skin with serosanguineous drainage. As the wound showed no signs of improvement, he was advised by the doctor to undergo NPWT to facilitate wound granulation and closure.

Management:
CCNPWT ( VTG 2901 ) therapy was started at -125 mmHg pressure on continuous mode for 7 days. After the first dressing change, improvement was seen as new, healthy granulation tissue was formed on the wound bed. There were no secondary infection issues, and the peri-wound skin health was also good. During follow-up, the wound underwent a further process of closure.
