Clinical Scenario:
A 32-year-old man was admitted to the hospital after a bomb blasted in his hand. Following the occurrence, a clinical examination indicated a significant infection and loss of fingers, and the bones were also exposed and the wound was filled with purulent tissue, and NPWT was advised ( VTG 2901 ) for speedy wound healing.

Management:
After disinfecting the surgical site, NPWT (VTG 2901) was initiated, and therapy started at -125 mmHg pressure on continuous mode for 6 days. The wound bed was sufficiently populated with granulated tissue. After that, the patient went for grafting and a second application of NPWT. During treatment, the patient’s vitals were stable. The patient was on supportive medicines to prevent further infection.
